Tunisia will play against Namibia at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium on Tuesday in a bid to top Group E of the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON), Bet Extract reports.
For the sixteenth time in a row, Tunisia is participating in the continental competition’s group stage. The previous season, they advanced to the quarterfinals and were defeated 1-0 by Burkina Faso in a closely fought game. It’s interesting to note that in 2004, they were the hosts and won their only title in the continental competition.
In the last four competitions, Tunisia has advanced to the quarterfinals, and they will try to continue that streak. Group E’s other two teams are South Africa and Mali, and they are heavy favourites to win the group.

Namibia was eliminated from the group stage in 2019 and was unable to advance to the previous tournament edition. They lost all three of their group-stage matches in that edition, managing just one goal and giving up six.
The 2004 winners have not lost in their last four games across all competitions, and they have also maintained a clean sheet in these encounters. In a friendly match on Wednesday, Tunisia defeated Cape Verde 2-0.
Namibia has only triumphed once in their previous eight games in all competitions, and on Tuesday they were held to a scoreless stalemate in their friendly matchup with Ghana.
